Old School – The Goonies II
As any kid growing up in the “80′s” will tell you Goonies was an awesome movie. So when Konami released the videogame on the NES back in 1987 i was as giddy as a kid could be. The Goonies II is an action adventure videogame related to the movie of the same name. I actually did complete The Goonies II as a kid. All i remember was that i had to save my friends using keys from that group of small time crooks. Goonies II had a password save system that helped tremendously. What i loved about the Goonies II was its gameplay.
Using Mikey’s yo yo to kill snakes, bats and bad guys was simple and addicting enough. I also liked when you entered doors it went into a semi FPS view. Back in “87″ anything with a first person view was amazing. Collecting maps, keys and bombs to venture more into Goonies II’s world was addicting and i actually loved it as a kid. When i was a kid i really had to like a game to finish it. Its too bad i can’t remember many details of The Goonies II. The problem was the year it came out (1987). So many immortal classic NES games released that year. Anyways, much respect The Goonies II your a real classic in my opinion. What ever happened to the sequel to The Goonies?
